Your privacy

Email address. If you request one of our free patient education guides, you give us your email address so we can send it to you. Ticking the optional box also lets us send you practice information, patient education and occasional promotions.

Quiz answers. The treatment quiz on this site runs in your browser. Your answers are used only to show you a suggested path and are not stored as medical information. No personal medical information is saved, downloaded, or shared.

Basic site analytics. Like most websites, we may collect anonymous usage information (pages visited, device type) to understand what visitors find useful.

If you request a guide, we use your email address to:

• Send you the guide you asked for.
• If you also ticked the optional box, send you occasional practice information, patient education and promotions.

We never sell, rent or share your email address with third parties for their own marketing.

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also change your email preferences at any time on our email preferences page. Unsubscribing stops practice emails but does not affect appointment or clinical communications from the office.

You may also ask us at any time to delete your email address from our list by contacting the office using the details below.

Please do not send detailed medical information through this website. If you become a patient, your medical records are kept by SMOC under HIPAA and are separate from anything collected here.

Email sign-ups are stored securely and access is limited to the practice. We keep your email address only for as long as you remain subscribed or as needed to meet legal obligations.

This site links to outside services we use — for example our online booking portal and SMOC's video library. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read.

If we change this policy we will post the updated version on this page with a new "last updated" date.
